2015 Ford Focus new keys coding
In this job one of our locksmiths was asked to program new key for Ford Focus 2015.
As you can see in the video, we had to use the procedure of “Erase all keys” which means that once we program the new keys, ALL PREVIOUS keys will not work any more. This is a very useful option when you don’t know where all your keys are and may be worried about someone having one copies of your keys.
In this case, we choose “Blade” key option (2015-2018 Focus)
Once we do the “Erase all keys” option, the system may take up to 3 minutes to connect and erase all previous keys. However, it usually takes about a minute or so.
Once all previous keys are erased (you will see a notification on the screen) we can continue with the coding procedure.
Now, we have to cycle the new keys we want to code into the vehicle. You will have to insert them one by one into the ignition and turn so the system can learn and recognize them as authorized keys.
Every key should be cycled 1 time in the ignition.
Once both keys are learned you will see on the screen a message that says 2 keys are learned.
The system will ask if you want to program any additional keys. We said no and tested the keys and remotes to make sure everything works fine.
