In this job one of our locksmith had to cut and program new keys for a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. As you can see in the video, we did “all keys lost” option. Meaning that once the procedure is done, all previous key fobs won’t work and only the new, programmed key fob will start the car.

Here is how to program a new key fob for Hyundai Elantra:

1. Connect your coding machine into the car’s OBD
2. Choose the right make and model. In this case: 2024 Hyundai Elantra
3. Then choose “smart key”
4. Then – Control Unit – Keyless System – Remote Control Learning – Smart key learning
5. Then turn on the hazard lights
6. Wait for the machine to establish vehicle communication
7. Enter your car specific 6 digit key code (which can be obtained by the dealer or automotive locksmith)
8. After 5 seconds, touch with the new remote in the push to start button
9. You should then see – programming successful and you will be asked if you want to program an additional key fob. 
10. That’s it – time to test your new key fob.

A few things to remember:

In this case our automotive locksmith worked on a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. However, this is also relevant for all Hyundai model that have key fobs. The programming procedure is basically the same for all of them with the exception of the specific PIN code for each model.

Before you start the programming process make sure you have the PIN code, internet connection, and enough juice in the battery.

The procedure itself should take about 5 minutes or so as you can see in the video.
