Coding 2024 GMC Denali key fob
In this job one of our locksmith had to program a new key fob for a 2024 GMC Denali. Coding this type of key fob require a special coding machine as you can see in the pictures.
Here are some important things to remember when you are programming a new key fob for your car:
- Make sure you know where the coding slot is. (see picture below). Every make and model has its own specific location for the locksmith to put the key in. Most often its in the cup holder but sometimes, like in this case, its in between the cups.
- It would be a good idea to make a spare key, as its much cheaper because the locksmith (or dealer) is already coding another key and the car is on site. Remember that if you lose your keys you will have to do the same process all over again.
- Don’t forget to ask to cut the emergency key included with your key fob (see additional video below) – This is very important in case your key fob battery is dead and you cant enter the car. With the emergency key, you can unlock the doors.
