In this job the we had to program new key fob. You can see in the video the slot where we put the key fob so it can be programmed. Btw this is also the slot to put your key fob when you key fob battery is dead and you cant start the car. This comes very handy because that’s the only way the car will start if your key fob battery is dead.

So here are the steps to program the new key fob:

First, connect your coding machine into the cars OBD.

Then, remove the rubber mat from the arms rest and you will  see the slot where to put the key fob you want to program. Lay the key fob there. This is the learning slot.

Then, the machine will tell you to push the push to start button once.

Once you do, it will tell you how many key fobs are already programmed in the system. 

Then it will ask you if you want to program additional keys. Choose whatever you want and click continue.

In case you don’t, you should switch the ignition off as instructed.

After you do, the final and very important step:

Hold the push to start button for 12 seconds until the machine tells you its ok to release. You should see a notification when its ok to leave the push to start button.

Once programming is done, test the new key fob.

Don’t forget to cut the emergency key as well.
