How to unlock a Toyota with a dead key fob battery
In this video a locksmith had to make new key fobs for a Toyota vehicle.
We asked him to make a short video of how to unlock your car in case your key fob battery is dead.
This is the way you will unlock all Toyota models that uses a key fob. Of course, you will have to make sure the emergency key in the key fob is actually cut.
Unfortunately we see many cases where the key isn’t cut and then, when the owner really needs it, the key is useless. That usually happens not with new cars, because with new cars the key is cut. It happens most of the time when someone buys a used car, where the previous owner had to get a new key fob for his car but the locksmith didn’t actually cut the emergency key.
So, its very important to check and make sure your emergency key is cut just in case you will need it someday.
Once you are in, we highly recommend replacing your key fob battery.
The battery you will need is a CR2450 or CR2032 and you can order it here: https://amzn.to/4rNVnKp or https://amzn.to/420YBgM
