How to unlock Subaru Crosstrek with a dead key fob battery

In this job one of our affiliated locksmiths had to make new keys for a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek.

We asked to make a short video to show you what to do and how to unlock your Crosstrek in case the battery is dead and the remote doesn’t work.

This is relevant for all Subaru models that use a key fob. 

Remember to check that your emergency key is indeed cut so it will be available for you in case you need it.

Also we highly suggest to have a spare key fob battery available and to change it as soon as you see that your key fob wont unlock the doors.
